Where the records are
The Recorder of Deeds provides public access to recorded documents. County planning's parcel tools help identify a parcel, and the county notes the municipality confirms current zoning. County mapping shows Chester City and Chester Township as distinct.
Legal help and court programs
The county lists Legal Aid of Southeastern PA for housing legal help. An older court order scan describes a past diversion pilot, but we have not confirmed it is currently active, so we do not present it as an available program. Ask LASP or the court.
Sheriff versus Tax Claim
Sheriff real estate sale changes: (610) 891-4305. Tax and judicial sales: Tax Claim Bureau, (610) 891-8294. Do not assume every posted date is current.
Reviewing a Delaware County property
We ask about municipality, use, leases, condition and timing. Any proposal discloses the buyer, role, terms and compensation in writing.
Delaware County records and official help
Mortgage sales go through the Sheriff; tax and judicial sales go through the Tax Claim Bureau. We have not confirmed any court diversion pilot as currently active.
